How can Pip help?
Write to us at office@doderasoft.com. A real person reads every message. It helps if you tell us your iPhone and Apple Watch models and which lesson you were on.
Safety
Pipstep is coaching, not medical advice. If you have a heart or other long-term condition, are pregnant, or are coming back from an injury or operation, please check with your doctor before you start. You can still walk the first lessons gently, and Settings → Health & safety → "Keep it extra gentle" stops Pip from ever asking you to speed up.
Stop and walk if…
You feel pain or pressure in your chest, arm, neck or jaw; you feel dizzy, light-headed or faint; you are much more out of breath than the effort should make you; or you feel a sharp or sudden pain. Chest pain that doesn't ease straight away, fainting or real trouble breathing: stop and call your local emergency number right away. Stopping always counts.
Heat, cold, traffic and the dark
In the heat go early or late, slow down and drink water; in the cold dress in layers. Keep the volume low enough to hear cars and bikes. In the dark wear something bright and pick well-lit routes. If you go somewhere quiet, tell someone where you are going.
Water
Drink a glass of water before you go and when you get back. On long or hot lessons take water with you and sip when you're thirsty.
Feeling ill?
With a cold or a fever, rest. Your streak can wait, and a campfire keeps it warm.
Lessons
How do I start a lesson?
On Apple Watch open Pipstep and press Start (or use the Action Button or Siri: "Start my Pipstep lesson"). On iPhone, tap Start on the Today tab. Choose where lessons run in Settings → Run lessons on.
I can't hear the coach.
Check that your AirPods or headphones are connected and the volume is up. On Apple Watch, connect the headphones to the watch itself. Without headphones, turn on Settings → Music & voice → "Narrate through the speaker without headphones".
My lesson didn't pass.
That's fine: it stays open and nothing is lost. A lesson passes when you finish most of it; stops at traffic lights don't count against you. Try again whenever you like.
The lessons feel too easy or too hard.
Targets follow your own pace and today's condition, and they adjust as Pipstep learns. If you already run, "Find my level" or a jump test on the Path tab can move you ahead.
Apple Watch and iPhone
Do I need my iPhone with me?
No. With Apple Watch, lessons run on the watch alone. Your progress syncs with your iPhone when they are close again.
My watch and iPhone show different progress.
Open Pipstep on both with the devices near each other. They merge progress automatically and never lose a finished lesson.
Apple Health
Where are my workouts?
In the Fitness and Health apps. If they are missing, check Health → your profile → Apps → Pipstep and allow Pipstep to write workouts.
Does my health data leave my phone?
No. Apple Health data stays on your devices. See the privacy policy.
Friends
How do I add a friend?
Friends tab → Add a friend: type their friend code, or send an invite link. Signing in is optional and only needed for friends features.
Someone is bothering me.
Touch and hold their name or post to block or report them. Reports come to us and we look at every one.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Community → Delete account. Your profile and everything on our server is deleted; your lessons on your devices stay.
Pipstep Plus
How do I cancel or get a refund?
Plus is billed by Apple. Cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
I bought Plus but don't see it.
Settings → Pipstep Plus → Restore purchases. Your watch picks it up the next time it syncs with your iPhone.
